Welcome to the Forum, Andyhirst
Have you had the chance to test drive both of them, and could you read some of the threads around in this forum where not only a few members write about exactly this differences between a 4/4 and a Plus 4.
If not, perhaps you can use the day today to make a testdrive with both models at your dealers place?
Just to say I personally am very happy with my choice of a nimble 2014 4/4, but I drove a Plus 4 without mods in 2013 for a short piece of road and in my experience Plus 4 is the more adult car which includes some subtle pros and cons.
To sum up, if the not so easy choice is hard to make in this short time left, perhaps I can help a little bit when I say, don't worry you will not make a huge mistake regardles which of this two models will be yours.
Oh sorry Andyhirst...first i saw the line only where stands "one post" and now I see you are familiar with this place since almost 7 years, Sorry for that again.
So if you already read some of the threads around, think also a bit about the kind of engine. The 4/4 Sigma is one of the last engines you can tune relative easily...and it is the only engine in the whole range of now build Trads, where you hear almost nothing in this forum about any worries, which is really fantastic and I can underwrite it by personal experience after 20.000 miles, no one here on TM has reported internal engine problems or software issues.
