As I have posted a for sale ad about Gerwyns car in the for sale section I have been asked to clarify about his sad passing.
I met Gerwyn a few years ago at Portsmouth waiting for the ferry to France to go to Le Mans, he was with his lifelong friend Dawson who had just acquired a new DB9 that they were travelling in and Gerwyn being a lover of Morgan's came over to admire my car, we got chatting and over the next week and years spent time laughing and chatting about life the universe and everything.
He used to phone my friend who was with me on the LM trip Ian Simpson every now and again for an update and we always cajoled him into buying his beloved Morgan which he eventually did.
Sadly he developed a rare blood disorder which was not diagnosed until it was too late and he passed away last April, this was not picked up by us tm'ers as no one was in regular contact with him except via his posts.
I for one will miss his larger than life (in every sense) attitude and demeanour, he will be sorely missed by anyone that knew him.
I'm only sorry that I only found out recently when his relative posted his car for sale on a Morgan Facebook page that I like. I would have liked to have paid my respects to a real gentleman when he died but didn't get the chance, good blokes are few and far between.
RIP Big G

Well I think you know what I thought of Gerwyn Rob . We both seemed to be two people inside , the very serious side along with the joker that needed a laugh who could give it and take it . I spotted on his car for sale he had picked up a few things I told him of. Sadly missed by those who knew him .

Sad news indeed. I met G several times and exchanged PM's from time to time.
A real character.

Very Sad News.

I never met G. but always enjoyed reading his posts.

All to often when people disappear off of the TM Radar one never knows why

Am I correct in thinking that Gerwyn's forum name was GLLHG?

If so I have missed his pithy, dry sense of humour and I often wondered what had happened to him.

Sad news indeed.

Yes checking it, in one of the posts he refers to his aston Martin owning mate,
This is Dawson, lovely Welsh name, a retired builder whom I believe he lost touch with when Dawson moved to west wales.
I never had his contact details so he may not know what happened either.

Sorry to hear of the passing of your pal but you are wrong in one respect. Good blokes are pretty common in my experience and its the sh1ts that are few and far between. One of the pleasures of life is just how many really nice people you meet.
