Where did you find it ? In my opinion this is not a part of a 3W but it looks like a part of the rear strut for a classic Morgan overriders

I know the structures pretty well. I dont think that is M3W part.

It's a bracket for a rear over-rider. The paint finish suggests fairly new.
Not because it looks new but the recent finish is rougher than it used to be. And this one is a rough finish.
For a Trad.

I'm led to believe it's a specialist fitting paint, designed to be more robust. Seriously..!

Or they left the top coat off..

Well compared to my 2005, which is like a smooth enamel, it's as if its been grit blasted and licked over with primer.

@DaveW: thanks, that was the answer i was looking for! and yes, its new. i knew, its not from a m3w, but i had no clue where from. when i got a new back sprocket (aluminum), it was in the parcel. so must have been a mistake at the packeting at morgan malvern.

If the paint finish is anything like the paint finish on the wishbones, headlamp brackets, front mudguards, exhaust mounting brackets etc. of my 2013 M3W I would agree that it is to the usual Morgan crap standard for parts such as this, i.e. no proper surface preparation, no proper undercoat and no adhesion.
