I drained and flushed my 4/4 tank when renewing the pump and fitting an extra filter. I measured a refill for 1 gal and 2 gal to reference the gauge. There was 1 gal left when it touche E. Trouble is the pointer moved so much as petrol sloshed about. Especially when enjoying bends.

About 19 when enjoyed as designed and 22 normal running stretched to 24 on a long cruise at legal limits.
I always fill up at 250 to avoid the splutter and disappointment..

MPG is one of the indicator's of a well tuned Morgan or one that is not so well tuned. I keep track of MPG. Mind You in the U.S. 4 32oz qts = 1 gallon. Imperial Gallons confuse Me a bit. My Bitsa averages about 20 U.S. MPG on a trip. As I rarely drive in the City in My Morgan I really do not know. The 2.0 Zetec(w. Weber DCOE) DHC is about 24MPG and the TR powered +4-4Str 22 MPG.

Blimey, my Aero manages 29 on a run and that's a 4.4L V8! Strewth you must drive it like a girl "On a run" = usually at 70 MPH in 6th motorway or dual carriageways

Agree no-one buys a Morgan for economy but my 4/4 1600 Sigma has a very light thirst - I have never managed to get it below 40mpg despite much effort with the right foot and playing the "get the rev counter needle to dance" routine. Never stops amazing me every-time i fill it up. Amazing engine the Sigma...

25 to 29 depending on my mood..... Not bad for a 4.8l V8 that isn't a Modern direct injection turbo thing.

Grins per mile are far more important in a Mog.
