Generally up to 1/4 inch with drifts to 1/2 inch.
I live 25 miles from LHR & 200 m higher up.
I survived the great blizzard of 2017 & would like to thank BA for cancelling my flight from Frankfurt so I had to spend 1 hr on my mobile from Germany scheduling a return early Thursday having arrived noon Wed.
The fact I cancelled many meetings is softened by the knowledge I travelled safely.
BA have just made the UK a laughing stock.

??? Snow in europe and the us has been causing chaos but we always seem to want to beat ourselves up.

Howard come on. They have all the snow kit at LHR.
Compare this to say Munich, Moscow or Chicago or Newark. This level of snow wouldn't impact anything. Luton, Standsted etc made no cancellations.

A good 30cm during the night (I'm delighted to say....).
It's still snowing and forecast to carry on all day. Might be interesting getting down the mountain and back up this evening to pick up #2 daughter from Geneva airport.
Still, I have snow tyres, and 4WD, plus chains if necessary. The only issue is if the road gets blocked.
