We went to the LMC last year and had no trouble. but you really do need the luggage rack with sidescreen storage.

Got to admit that one of the few things that turn me against a Plus 8 is the luggage capability. Even my old Lotus had secure internal luggage space for a week. I'm past the age of roughing it.
Having said that, I'd still rather have the modern rear suspension of the plus8.

I was going to suggest swmbo got the train to Scotland one year and I would take the luggage in the 4/4 and collect her following day at Ft. William.
Only problem was, she'd have probably ended up at Penzance or Dover...
Much safer for me to just go alone grin2
