Yes, it's been a fantastic race!
When I checked just now Alex was going nearly 3 kts faster than Armel, and the gap was down to 95 miles.

He is in amazing condition considering what he's been through. He lost his wind instruments at the top of the mast, which meant he had to do much more hand steering as the autopilot couldn't deal with the wind shifts. He has now jury rigged more instruments on a pole off the back of the boat, but it won't be as sensitive as on the mast.
To be so close to the lead with only one foil is incredible, but it's not over yet, and he will be going for it.
I'll let you know when we get Northabout to Portishead. Currently planning to move her on Saturday. Going down tomorrow to try and start the engine. We may have to get the generator going to get some juice in the batteries before we can get it going. If it won't start on to plan two!
