Gott & Wynne for me, I changed from Headley when I got their quote for the +8!
Been very happy with G&W since.

I have been with Headley all the time and now with 3 cars and the house more recently.
Great people to deal with when things go wrong too.

I have used Gott and Wynn for 10 years on various Morgans and very happy.
Have looked at NFU, however they do not do an agreed value, which is very important to me.

I will put a pitch in for NatWest Private Insurance. When I spun the roadster on spilt diesel on a wet road and bent the chassis, they authorised the rebuild on a new chassis within three weeks, I had the spin the week before that Christmas, the estimated cost of repair was £33k plus £8k from the Highways agency to repair the crash barriers. They are by far the cheapest for both my cars and house and contents insurance. I am talking to them about doing yacht insurance which is an ongoing conversation. Needless to say I bank with them. I am told that Lloyds are also pretty good. The banks want insurance business so price accordingly.

Why would the Highways Agency seek to collect money from you? The accident wasn't your fault - that seems outrageous.

They will seek every opportunity to collect money.
The owner of the vehicle that damages Highways Agency or Council property is deemed liable...and the insurance company will pay.
If, in this case, the source of the diesel spill could be traced then they would go after that person or business.

It's arguable that the barriers caused the damage by being thoughtlessly built there.

OK, maybe not. smile
