Thank you everyone. My 29 mpg is ok then, but I totally agree with Neilda, 'who cares'? I just fill it up with super unleaded, and get about 200 miles of FUN. Since buying it from Tim Ayers 8 weeks ago, I've done 900 miles. I have no idea how to put the hood on, so as a weight saving measure, I immediately put it, and side screens in the house. At least they have been nice and warm ! Mind you, I find my motorcycling gear and helmet come in handy, especially when it's raining. Just hope the Waxoyl keeps the salt at bay.

Well done. Aero screens are also great but on my 2006 car they don't fit.

Yep, when people ask me the MPG I say that I only measure SPG, blanks looks then I explain Smiles per gallon.
I probably get somewhere between 20 and 25 MPG but have never bothered to calculate it. If I did and it was my daily drive it'd probably scare me.
Son-in-law has just bought a secondhand Maserati, doesn't know what the MPG or running costs will be and doesn't care (until its first service probably)
