Another photo from the family archives. This time from Alis's side:

Paddy Fermor was certainly quite a character. Ill met by moonlight, a book I mentioned in the "What are we all reading thread" is an account of the kidnapping of General Kneipe on Crete by Paddy Fermor and Billy Moss.

Ha! Must tell the Faroe joke to my father-in-law. Thanks. And must get Ill met by Moonlight as I've read just about everything else by or about Patrick L F. A Time of Gifts launched the obsession.

There is no known relationship. Though I have met Giacomo on a couple of occasions. Once whilst waiting for an arrival at Bergamo airport. I'm embarrassed to say I did not recognise him until he told me who he was. He was nice enough to give me a signed visitor's card though. I'm terrible at recognising people in unexpected places.

Blxxdy hell fancy being that handsome and hugely talented as well. And Sophia looking so alluring. I'm guessing the photo was taken in a radio station studio? The pattern on the composite board of the wall behind seems familiar.
