Some days sounds loud others not so, just had 1st year service on way quiet on way home quiet. was -5c on way and +5c on way home, The noise is definitely temperature dependant. In the UK winter no noise, in the summer noise after about 30 mins of driving.

They all make some noise, based on the other Morgan's I have witnessed. I thought mine was noisy, but after a couple of oil changes (mostly as it’s so easy), mines much quieter.
While its cold out, get the sockets out, and tick it off as a winter job, it’s satisfying to do as well.

Guys
Follow up on my post reference Quaife communications. Myself and Greg Dixon-Smith (supply chain director) have followed up through our contacts at Quaife and can report that they have several bevel boxes that have become noisy and are carrying out inspection and investigation work.
Between the two companies were looking at various combinations including how heat affects the bearings and gears, if the aluminium casing is expanding due to heat is there float internally. It would be silly of me to go into further detail, but i would like to reassure you all, that we're working closely with Quaife to find a solution. I'll update further once i have concrete info.

have a new 2016 with 200 miles. The bevel box is screaming between 40-60 mph. Takes all the joy out of the car.

have a new 2016 with 200 miles. The bevel box is screaming between 40-60 mph. Takes all the joy out of the car. 200 miles is not enough to assess the final noise level. Even your manual says to give it 1,000. My 2016 got pretty quiet around 1,500 miles. The noise was between 45-60 MPH. She now has 5,900 and is almost silent. She may get louder as the temperatures rise... we'll see. Mark, the wrench at MidAtlantic Morgan says mine is one of the quietest ones he's experienced.

Good to hear that the noise may reduce. My car shipped without a manual, so I am still waiting for that.

Hi, it's springtime 😀.
I did the first few drives this year. I'm a little late, because it was a very cold April here in Germany. But my first experiances with the new bevel box oil are good. It's still noisy, but not that disturbing.
