Everyone has probably said all that needs to be said. I'm just glad the TM and Morgans resulted in making a good friend. Enjoy the Merc Adrian and I'll look forward to a ride in it sometime!

A friend indeed Jays, sorry we have not seen much of each other over the last 6 months, but hopefully we will meet up a few times this year. 😄

Adrian only now I read this thread. Just want to say that I'm glad Morgan ownership made us meet, totally understand your decision, wish you great and relaxed fun with your Mercedes (show us a picture please) and do consider bringing that German wonder down here to Portugal soon! smile

PS - Does she have a name already? Is "Frau Rosa" under consideration? grin2

Adrian,
I had a SL350 once for a short time.
It was a 2012 model, silver with a dark red leather interior and Northern Ireland reg no.
Is it the same car?
The SL350 was probably the nicest sports car I've ever owned and I have had a few.
I sold my 2007 +4 after 8 years ownership and bought the SL350 because my wife who had a artificial leg was finding the +4 difficult to get in.
Unfortunately she died a little while later and I sold the SL350 and bought a Morgan ARP4.
A big mistake wish I still had the SL350.
I am sure you will enjoy your new Merc I certainly did.
Regards,
Eddie.

Hope the SL brings you and Sue lots of pleasure. Bring it to Hive Beach this Summer, I'll park next to you and we can see what eight decades of automotive evolution looks like...

Adrian, funnily enough although it's more an every day car than the Aero 8 ever was, I have bought a CLK Merc in part to replace my S1 Aero. I still need to find something to give me the pointy quirty driving feedback I still enjoy and my motorbikes don't quite do it so looking for an early Caterham.

All the best and whilst Aero 8s are fantastic cars, they're no match for a faithful hound!

Cheers

Sorry to hear you have sold Adrian, but you must do what is best for yourself and being an avid fan of Mercedes myself I am sure she will be a worthy replacement and give you many happy miles of motoring.

I guess this poses a new problem of what to name your new Mercedes - Rosie In Silber, Rosie da silva? I'll stop laugh2

Regards,
Nick

We met up with young Adrian and Sue yesterday.
Adrian has always had the reputation of being one of the more fashionably dressed amongst us local Fossils.

However, I have to report that despite just a few days of owning his 350SL, he is definitely looking even more. . . how can I put this? A la mode?

I fear, that he could well be on a slippery slope. wink ooo
