Polar It is possible the driver was incorrectly installed. Have a look in the device manager for any yellow triangles with an exclamation mark particularly in the USB section. If there is, right click on them and select uninstall. Reboot and then reload Protune II. The drivers are actually loaded with the software but usually only installed when the computer detects the ECM. Good luck.. As for the 'break in period', I think the last stage of the rev limiter comes off after 20hrs so at 185mls and 8hrs you still have a way to go. It will still be quite tight. It is in the owners handbook somewhere.

Did you try having the ignition on , so the ECU is alive and the USB connector has power when you connect ?

i can see on this case one stupid reason: The mini USB doesn't have (or even lost) the ground a cable inserted in and connected to the ground can surely solve this problem, one of my friend who have an ARP4 get a similar problem he solve it by that way, but after he dismantle the ECU and found the ground lost and repair it.

Polar Display the device manager on your PC while turning the ignition on. If the ECM appears as an unknown device it confirms there is a driver issue. If it doesn't appear, you need to look elsewhere.

Is your GoPro cable a data cable or a power only cable? They look exactly the same. If you can test that cable to see if it pushes data that would be one step in the troubleshooting. USB drivers can be a pain, especially with Windows Plug and Play. Even removing the device from Windows in device manager if you can test that cable to see if it pushes data that would be one step in the troubleshooting. USB drivers can be a pain, especially with Windows plug and play. Even removing the device from windows in device manager sometimes does not fix things because when you plug the device back in it will still try to associate with incorrect driver. If the PC does not see the device at all other than the cable being bad all I can think of is that you may actually have a bad port.

Hey Everyone, I finally was successful connecting my laptop to my ECU to get a read of the data regarding my check engine light! Turns out, I was using a bad cable (my GoPro mini usb cable).....I bought a new Amazon Basics cable for $6 and it works! Attached are screen shots from the ProTune software. There seems to be two errors that cannot be cleared....Bad Sites Front and Bad Sites Rear. I have no idea what these mean! Do any of you know about these fault codes? Hopefully my screen shots shed some light on my issue. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! -Tom
