Somehow the involvement of Mr Blobby rather puts me off La Riviera.....he's not exactly a man of taste is he!

I suspect if buying a Suffolk SS100 that a previously owned version is the best way into it? They're all going to be well looked after. Did you ever take yours out in the wet Chris or Reg?

Neilda,
Most certainly it went out in the wet. I had it for two years and it was used all year going to shows and on Jaguar events. It was brilliant, the hood was so much better than my Morgan but the side curtains let it down so I didn't use them.
I sometimes wished I had kept it but then we have all been there.

Here for a good time not a long time!!

The music on the video is pretty annoying as well

One of my Dream Cars. R R100 Owner and Register Member has a Suffolk one in similar BRG.

Presumably everyone on here knows that SS stands for Swallow Sidecars, the company that eventually became Jaguar.

I had mine for about 6 years and living in the West of Scotland it was impossible not to be out in the wet! It hissed nicely through the puddles shrouded in steam, but I found it very manageable. Snug with the hood up and floppy side screens made it interesting joining major roads at junctions. But i loved every mile I drove. When I first looked at them in 2004 I could probably have ordered a new one, but prices went up and I made do with an excellent pre owned.

Hahahaha.... I love the look of the SS. Just brilliant - perfect in fact. Great reviews from owners makes me so tempted. Maybe if I ever tire of the 8 (which I doubt) then an SS will be the next toy.
