Lovely car.
Effortless cruiser, a bit heavy steering at parking but lovely feel on the move.
25k miles done with no issues. The management light did come on a couple of times but for "randon intermittent misfire" code that I reset. The misfires were undetectable. Last summer the mpg was touching 30 so very pleased. It is comfortable, new AVO shocks late last year...very nice improvement and set to 7 clicks front and lowest rear. Librands rollbar added. Removable steering wheel but only taken off if I need access to the dash.
The under bonnet temp does get high, no engine overheating as the fan kicks in. A couple of minor wiring blips but sorted ok.
A great move from the '93 4/4 that was also nice but a totally different animal.

Do you ever go to the Taffmog meetings? If so, let me know and I'll meet you at one of them. I would like to look over a well sorted plus 8.

If you do test one, my advice is to try it with the roof up and down ... roof up: squeaks and rattles from side screens and roof/screen join. Roof down... glorious, nothing in the world as relaxing (if it is a nice warm sunny day!) but it is very drafty!

The ride quality on rough single track country lanes is quite appalling, and I end up driving around 30mph. But I am totally in love with mine, and know I will never sell it. I had mine out today, parked up at Castle Howard for a coffee, and it just looks amazing, nothing like it for the money. I also saw another Mog out, it was a pleasure to BEEP BEEP horns and wave to one another. I also ended up parked next to a similar colour BMW Z4 and a silver 911 they were pleasant, but nothing more. I'm sure their owners like them, but will they adore them?

One thing is for sure, you won't ummm and ahhh... you'll love it or hate it!
