Many thanks all for the warm welcome.

I appreciate the visual on how it should be tested Andy ;-)

Dirk, indeed good point. I've considered at some point buying in the UK but I'm a bit concerned with the swapping RHD to LHD. I know it can be done but it adds a 5.000EUR bill I believe.
Did you do it or do you drive it RHD?

Pah, black isn't even a colour. Black is the absence of any reflected light of wavelengths which the human eye can perceive.

Welcome to TM. That car does look smart. Make sure you check the windscreen for cracks - not unknown on 4/4 Sports of that age.

When you test drive it, aim to try all types of road - including a motorway. If I remember correctly, a 2009 4/4 Sport will have a different axle ratio or 5th gear ratio to current cars - not sure which - which will make 5th a cruising gear only. Hopefully, someone who knows for sure will be along.

Good advice from all here.

I do not know about prices in your country - but it would be high for the UK

What do they say...everything is negotiable!!

Yes I think that it is the high price that has put off previous potential buyers if the seller will not haggle.

They are great cars and lots of fun I had one from new in 2009 and did 24,000miles faultless miles in it all at 44mpg.

It may well be worth giving Henry Williams a call as he sometimes deals in LHD ones and a lot of people on the continent have brought from him.

Sukram is a TM member and is very knowledgeable about Morgans and lives in Belgium, it may be worth a pm to him.

There are a lot of extras on your Black one, rear rack and bumper, elasticated side pockets, centre console (between seats), special lights and indicator stalks, steering wheel and the two eared spinners are the one's I have noticed. This will explain a slightly high price maybe, I am sure they would be open to offers.

Good luck in your search and welcome.

p.s. Hope to meet up at Revival in September.

My name is Julien, working & living in Brussels, Belgium.

I’ve always been interested in Morgan’s and should soon be able to realize the dream of owning (and fiddling with) one.

I have yet to decide whether I go M3W or 4/4, but your forum already helped me A LOT in learning about both options (advantages, ownership experiences, which version to buy, etc.), for which I am already very thankful, so Thank You TM!
I had also in mind a Caterham 275 R (export version hence the “5” and not “0) but I am not really attracted by the look of it.

I’ve been looking around for quite some time and this one has sparked my interest. It is on sale for more than a year so it’s not really very reassuring.

Despite a relatively high mileage, I believe it could be a good base for some mods. Of course comments from your sharp eyes are most welcomed.

Finally, my goal would be to make it this year Goodwood Revival in a Morgan 

The car looks nice but I would be very careful with the dealer. He is known to sell cars repaired from accidents. In 2015 he was selling a grey Roadster at a reasonable price but after having checked the with an expert it turned out that it had a heavy accident and only after confronting him with the result he admitted that it is true...

Regarding 2009 gear ratio: she will have a Ford box and 5. gear is just for highway use. Most driving fun is using 2nd and 3rd gear.

Belgium prices seem to be next to German levels.

Jules I left mine RHD. I don't find it difficult to drive a RHD on the continent as I am used to driving a LHD in the UK when on holiday (so I'm always on the wrong side of the road). It felt immediately ok when I did my test drive at Brands Hatch Morgans.
As for the future, there are a lot of RHD morgans for sale on the continent.
