Still use the original plastic mirror as many of the metal ones that I have looked at look flimsy and have no means of blocking out the headlights from the tit behind on full beam . swear

Ian,

That car still looks a million dollars.. I like two tone paint schemes. You're a lucky lad, I hope you enjoy your new purchase.

Whilst the factory are a law unto themselves, I cannot understand the rationale of kitting out the car with essential bits that do not work, or certainly are not easy to use. Head restraints are another item which are next to useless.

Oops, I did mean nearside.
And looking at the Librands site it does look like the interior mirror is one of theirs, probably just me adapting from the auto dimming computer controlled thing in the XK.
Rich, I think I'll have to get some alloys like yours to accompany my wires, do they have the same fitting centre as wires.

They share the fixing centres Ian but need a special nut, these are Morgan Lightweight Alloys and are 7" X 16" Centrelock, your dealer would be the first line of approach as I have no idea of the availability. The standard alloys are 15" and normally 5 bolt fixing.
I have never seen the 16" for sale since the run of them in 1999 - 2000 time but I haven't looked for them especially either.

Ian - Those knock off alloys are rare and expensive. If you find any, before you buy you should check the fit. I have it in mind that they are slightly wider, or have slightly greater offset than the wires, so they may protrude slightly from the wheel arches.

I'll second that on John's mirrors - excellent. Available from Phoenix Designs, the website is morganhoods.com

I've never looked back! Or what I mean is I can now look back

(I know, I know, I use that every time a thread comes up on how rubbish mirrors are)
