any ideas where I can get a longer handbrake lever from, it is for a 1985 +8, I noticed one was fitted to a +8 that is for sale at BHM.

No idea sorry - I'd give Keith (BHM) a ring he'll help you out.

Just out of interest, why would you need an extended handbrake lever?

So you can reach it in a race car when you have your harness done up! I think the Mog at BHM is Chris Auckland old Class B car.

Simmonds used to make a new top with a lever, I have one on my 4/4 and its way better than the Morgan original (nearly lost a car down a hill once) and it does what you want lifts the lever about 3 inches.

A very experienced Morgan racer told me that he never left his Morgan parked with the handbrake on after a race. He used to reckon it was the quickest way to get oval brake drums. His car was always left in gear.

I've had no problems with the original handbrake lever in my car and I've got a set of Sabelt four points in my 4/4.

There is a little mod you can to to the chromed thimble at the top which is to tap the lubrication hole out and fit a grub screw to stop the thimble unscrewing
