I use an Optimate 6 trickle charger, its always connected when the car is left more than a week or so - no issues at all. Starts first time everytime.

I have an old Triumph branded Optimate 3+ left over from bike days and do exactly the same. In the summer it isn't used, but in the winter...essential.

Seems we have gone a bit off topic here ... the last two pages of postings seem to be about general battery issues rather than Series 5 Niggles!
Anyway, to get back on track I forgot to add intermittent failure of my windscreen wipers....

Several reports Side exhaust rattle: brackets work loose Water ingress through door seals Seat belt warning buzzer (works, but annoyingly) Windscreen washer level warning light Stone ping in wheelarch Battery drain
One report Drivers side headlight fail Fog lamp warning light on, flickering, when lights off Windscreen wipers fail, intermittently Drivers side window struggling to close Passenger door lock locked when open Poor paint finish on bootlid Parrot screen invisible in daylight

That would seem about the sum of it Will.
That aside....I'm falling back in love with it again. Took it for a drive last week without the left ear nag with me so I was able to give it some beans.......brilliant drive. That's what it's all about really, the way it drives is awesome and there's nothing quite like it. So I'm going to forget the new Aston Vantage due in 2018 and I've ordered myself a new Jaguar F-Type S for every day driving....the Aero is going to stay for those special days :-)

I've ordered myself a new Jaguar F-Type S for every day driving Some everyday car! I wish I could manage that but I need more space so I've settled for the Jaguar SE AWD R-Sport, with one or two options Hopefully it will arrive by Easter but I really expect it in May.

SE-R AWD is still a brilliant every day drive! I would have liked the F-Type AWD but the car I have purchased is a showroom demo so you takes what you can get. Will pick it up on 28th Feb.

So this spring we may see some change in the local fleet in Whitchurch.
I hate the RS6 Performance that I bought in a moment of weakness. Maria's lovely Mini Cooper S is sitting there doing little milage and she loves classic Porsche 911. Our twins (S2 and Coupe) do not get enough mileage to feel loved.
And so the difficult tumble of our pension fund, daily drives and smiles/miles.
Damn I hate having purchased the Audi. Everything was great until the damn thing came into the mix. The previous Mercedes was a wonderful car.
At 5000 miles the alloys started to wobble. At 6000 miles the front (steel) discs warped and needed replacing. At 7000 miles the alloys became so eccentric the car shook at 50 mph. At 9000 miles Audi "repaired" three of the four alloys but it still shakes the steering wheel. At 10,000 miles the car is still shaking. If you put a supermarket cardboard wine carton with 6 bottles in the boot they rattle like a demon all the time.
Ask yourself is a "repaired" alloy wheel that began to fail within 5 months and 7000 miles going to make 3 years and 60,000 miles in a car with 605bhp weighing 2100kgs ? I am not alone in suffering this, a lot of other RS6 owners are reporting poor response from Audi under the same situation.
Morgan at least have the excuse of low volumes to build program changes over, this RS6 is a git. Some of the other things that have occurred around the RS6 C7 should embarrass Audi to hell. Dampers that rattle all the time, huge number of brakes warping,
It is not my intent to be flash, I work VERY hard, don't have other hobbies, don't take extravagant holidays and have petrol running through my veins. I also have the luck of a patient and petrol loving wife.
At the end of the day our choice of where our money is spent is part of how we are identified. We chose to buy Morgans because the factory, staff, cars and other people on the board represent birds-of-a-feather in most cases.
As we flip the cars to new (or older) cars it will be interesting to see if (which)one or both of the Mogs remain with us.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Sorry to hear of your woes with the Audi. I think were I in your position I'd be looking at an AMG A63 Estate and a BMW i8 or a Tesla maybe for the daily cars?
If you were going to replace one of the Mogs, then swapping the coupe for a 911 could be a good idea, that way you can still enjoy a bit of top-down fun?
