The "Buyer's Guide" is always a brief overview, four pages near the back of the magazine before the classifieds. This one followed the normal monthly format.
Yes they could have have done a more in-depth article, talked to owners, detailed specific models etc. Indeed they have done in the past. But then it would have been a feature article not the regular buyer's guide item that this was.

Unless.......... - in 2015, someone paid £147 for a 1965 copy of TV World with Diana Rigg as Emma Peel of The Avengers on the cover.
- Two years earlier, a 1954 copy of Blighty with Diana Dors on the cover fetched £25.69;
- a 1926 Christmas Radio Times fetched £74 whereas the first Radio Times Dr Who cover pulled in 33 bids to reach £509.99;
- £31 was paid in 2009 for a copy of Tit-Bits featuring Raquel Welch, Honor Blackman and Robert Powell from 1979 – it originally cost 12p. Copies of Tit-Bits are more likely to fetch £5-£10.
- The priciest combination is Sherlock Holmes in the Strand Magazine - an 1891 copy fetched £540; it's the unbound copies that achieve the best prices on eBay.

I bought the mag today having seen tha article.
Agree, it could have been better but at least it promotes the marque. I've not seen the article yet, but I suspect that it might have been aimed at non-Morgan owners rather than marque enthusiasts? Space and readability are always going to trump exhaustive accuracy in such situations I would think.

There are certainly plenty of grounds on which Trump might be impeached, but I think it's unlikely to happen before the Congress elections in November 2018. As long as there is a Republican majority in Congress, impeachment is unlikely to go anywhere.

http://www.magforum.com/collecting_magazines.htm I you reckon that piccies of an old Plus 8 are worth more than those of Diana Rigg, Honor Blackman and Racquel Welch - well clearly you are a bit too far gone for saving!  Read the article today in Tesco's library, and it didnt read that well. Rebuilds at 15000 miles if I remember, and they werent talking about just the engine but body off chassis jobs. Wives wincing as you go over bump and that was an owners speaking.

As an MG 'expert' I was always disappointed by the superficial and sometimes inaccurate efforts by motoring journalists in Classic mags. So I always take what they say with a pinch of salt. But it's not just cars. There was a recent Julia Bradbury programme on Lynton & Lynmouth. We are L&L experts. Ok the programme was 30 minutes, less floss, but it only told half the story.
So the same thing applies to TV. But we knew that didn't we? It applies to everything. Its unrealistic to expect a piece of journalism that has to appeal to a broad spectrum to be fully correct in the eyes of the enthusiast. If you ever did oproduce something that the "rivet counters" were happy with you would turn off everyone else. You've nailed it Howard. Editors and journalists have been duelling over these conflicting demands since JC played fullback for Jerusalem. But the very best of writers do somehow manage to satisfy a broad audience along with the specialists.

LJK Setright was like that. And I have always found in technical fields that the people whop really knew their stuff were also good at explaining it to those who didnt know.
