Sawdust also works wonders in a noisy diff.
Raw egg and a slice of bread fixed a radiator enough to get me home once as well.
Once filled the sump with EP90 to get some oil pressure just for the sale, it worked.
Those were the days when you could stand a spoon up in EP90 not like the witches piss you get now. You'll be putting eggy, cheesy hammy in the bevel box then
