Why the need to comment in the first place..? Why not just stick to facts and not make a judgemental opinion..?

That okay, perhaps we should put an entry to them highlighting it as prosaic. That would seem a natural perspective balance ? Yes I agree and I think that was possibly what Adrian was suggesting in the original thread, some of the more dynamic features had been left off for the time being anyway.

Quite right It should describe TM as 'ridiculously anarchic, never dull, sometimes serious but mostly silly and irreverent, very sociable, often helpful, littered with photos of gorgeous women posing with cars and may include fish puns'

As I said without going into detail, several aspects that were in the design have been removed or dumbed down. If some recall this all started with a discussion on enabling MSCC to share information and multimedia to its membership more easily, and allow area centres to update their web pages and calendars. Also to facilitate communication between members. The original design and proposal sanctioned by the NCM had this in place and the building blocks for it becoming a dynamic 21st century site.
I resigned from my involvement as I found that dealing with the MSCC organisation was archaic and was like wading through treacle. Maybe this is the nature of the beast, but it's not for me. Anyway I hope the site does eventually grow into what was originally envisaged by me and Peter (and a few others), but I'm not holding my breath. I have my own opinions on why MSCC and its members are reluctant to embrace change, I leave you to form your own.

Thanks Neil and everyone else for your kind words for me and Peter. Unfortunately my experience in trying to help MSCC was not what I had hoped. It was frustrating and I found the general intransigence, lack of vision, and unwillingness to consider new ideas by many very sad. There are some good people on the committee but unfortunately their stoic efforts to improve the club and run it are IMO often stifled by the secretaries and others who appear to shun change and seem to be only interested in their own domains. Maybe some good will eventually come out of mine and Peter's efforts.

What's interesting is that although many of the club officials have changed over the six years I was there, the overall feel of the National Committee meetings is pretty much the same.
It was the same in the MG Car Club and the same at school governors. There's probably a formula to describe what happens, but the more people round the table, the more inertia in the process.
Unless you get a Trump character.
