Not a fan of the new look at all! Hopefully it can be converted back to the "traditional" look without a major hassle. I would intend to do that almost immediately when mine shows up.

And wouldn't it be nice if Morgan shipped the conversion brackets in a bag along with a new car as a convenience?

cooling issues are certainly something that comes to mind when seeing this, but that aside it does clean up the lines a bit and probably gives a better view for the driver as it cleans a couple extra pieces out of their view.

And it does give you a great look at the front suspension.... but at the expense of the engine. I'm sure that Morgan are cringing too. They are doing the best that they can to stay legal i'm sure.

The USA amazes me with its import rules.

Then any car workshop can do what ever they want to a car and get a TV show doing it!

We don't have any official explanation of the reason for the change yet, do we?

My worry would be driving at night on an unlit narrow road - oncoming vehicles would have no idea how wide you are ...

Exactly. It's the reason why Land Rover S2's couldn't be imported into the US in 1968. Rover was required to move the headlights from the cowl to the front fenders to better outline the vehicle at night.

Hi Everyone,

This is my very first post and I was going to wait until my new M3W arrived, which is due any day. However, this thread prompted a call to my Morgan dealer to check on the new headlight configuration. So I just called my sales rep and, ironically, he was heading back from Baltimore to Morgan of Morgantown, West Virginia with my M3W in the trailer! I explained my call, and he said 'no worry' as my M3W was one of the last if not the last one to leave the factory with the original headlamp configuration! He said Morgan had to comply with the new US rules and he is notifying any of his new customers.

I also want to thank each one of you for this great forum! Most of all, a very special thanks to my friend Grockle (on this forum) and his excellent blog at: https://westmog.wordpress.com/
I had read every article and watched every video I could find on the M3W but was still a little skeptical of all the glowing reports. However, it was Grockle's excellent and honest blog that actually prompted me to order one last year. Thanks, Grockle, for your great blog and answering so many of my questions along the way. Over the past two decades, I have acquired many great customers in England and just love their great sense of humor. To tell you the truth, Grockle is one of the best with his British humor....thanks, Grockle!

Wow. What a horrendous surprise. I have to say it is terrible looking and my Morgan is one of the ones being built any day now. For the love of god fix this smile Draggin I hope you are correct.
