I am going to Skye as part of countrylanetours.co.uk 'Haggis Trail' trip to the Western Isles in September (no financial interest etc etc) and am looking forward to it immensely. Bit of a hike from South Devon!

On the way dont park up on Rannoch moor AT ALL and leave your vehicle for a second . As the local police told me a car stops and your car is stripped in seconds . I was sitting in a police car with them watching thieves pull up and pull away once the car flashed its hidden blue lights .

Bob we where heading north over it in a 6 birth mobile home when I was hit by Glaswegian workers in a wagon . He took the offside off the motor and it was open to the world . I jumped out and ran after him , thank God he stopped or I would still be running . Oddly no insurance.
He got nasty then he backed down must have thought Geordies are shy when it comes to tempers . Hence the sitting in the police car waiting for an ambulance .
