Wonder if one could order it with the heater components installed, but the buttons not placed or wired up. DIY the placement where you like, and if you screw it up, then it's on you. Possibly even a hidden micro mini post toggle vs the button toggle in a more discreet location.

Polar, regarding the mats themselves. Were the sides measured to fit or was that a DIY trim it to fit solution? That does very much make it look more complete down there. Just wondering if it's something they have the template for already or if that needs some finagling. Also with regard to the pedal position, it's hard to tell but does it come to the front of the pedal box or are the pedals in their own area.

Just curious as given my stature I'll likely be needing the pedals all the way forward, and would hate to have a ragged front edge on the mat if it was made to fit a layout with farther forward pedals. It's hard to make out just how those are situated down there though so it quite possibly might not be a concern what so ever.

Tom, love the mats. How are yours held in place? My dealer bonded a ply backing to mine, so they are locked in place between the frame tubes. Works well. It was that or velcro...

You just need to get the steering cowl leather covered now and it'll be complete :-)

My factory rubber mats all stayed in place except the one in the foot well behind the pedals. A strip of 50mm heavy duty velcro now keeps it in place.

Done but the material isn't up to quality, not much car carpeting options in Kuwait . Took them an 1hr & 1/2... i have to go to home carpeting stores & find some thin carpeting. Cost me $60 by the way

Coco had a template set for an M3W for another member here on the TM forum….I forgot the member’s name, but I believe he purchased orange and black Coco mats. They sent me the templates, but they weren’t perfect. I modified them slightly to account for the pedal box position in my car, which is all the way forward, and I also created new templates for the side panels. The mats were sent to me and the fitment was a bit too tight. Because the mats have a thick rubber backing, they did not tuck under the tubular bars in the floor area. The paper templates being thin fit just fine, but the thick carpets would not tuck under the tubes and the fitment was too tight, so I sent the mats back and had them trim an 1/8” off the perimeter. Now the mats fit very nicely and they do not move at all! There is nothing holding them in place…..the mats are thick and heavy, and because of the exact fitment, they are held in place by the surrounding tube structure. Nothing else is required.

I instructed Coco to not install the thick rubber backing to the side panel pieces. I did this so I can apply double sided tape to the backing of the wool carpet and adhere it to the side panels of the Morgan. The rubber backing does not allow for anything adhesive to stick to it, so this was the only way the side panels would work. You also don’t want anything too thick for the side panels….it’s a tight fit down there already as we all know.

So for me it was a bit of trial and error, but I finally got it right and now any of you wanting new mats can benefit. Christy from Coco is who I dealt with….she was great and very accommodating. When I had to send the floor mats back to get trimmed down, she sent a pre-paid shipping label to me and they turned the finished mats around in a week!

I chose not to get a heel pad for the front driver’s mat because Coco’s heel pads are huge and they can only trim them down a certain size. That size was still too big in my opinion, and would have represented more than 50% of that front mat. They sent me the rubber heel pad material and if the heel area starts to wear badly, I can always trim that rubber piece down and glue it to the mat myself down the road.

I do like the look of the new mats. It really does provide a nice finished look to the interior.

I give you credit for giving me the idea of the side panel carpets....I like how yours turned out as well.

My mats are heavy and have a thick rubber backing. They are held in place by the floor tube structure. The front driver's mat has a nice tight fitment all the up to the pedals, and there's no movement.

I used double sided tape to mount the side carpet panels. All seems to fit well.

Hope you've been able to rack up some miles on your car. I just clocked 300 miles, but I'm still in the restricted break-in period for rev limits.

Looks class. With respect to mileage, no, UK winter weather stopped play. I'm stuck at 75 miles! Hopefully this month will be the start of better times..
