Hi all, hope the everyone is making use of their Morgans during this current fine weather. Just a quick one, I'm off for a long weekend trip to France ( sussing out the property market ) and will probably be doing a bit of night time driving. Does anyone bother now days with those headlamp stickers that redirect / reduce the beam for LH driving ? Had a quick look in Halfords and they do do some but not for our "traditional" round headlamps.

Hi Steve
When I drive in Mainland Europe I do block off the lights - more to show willing then anything else. But I don't worry too much about the commercial ones and use black tape as shown.

Yup, 2 little triangles of insulation tape over the dip prism is all that's needed.

I carry a pack of 'Beam Benders' to stay legal but I've never fitted 'em....Don't remember seeing EU cars in GB with converted or masked headlights either, efficient Germans provide Boxsters with a cunning device which converts lights left to right and vice versa by actuation of an ingenious mechanism [sounds like Black Adder telling Baldrick]

I remember back in the late 60's driving in France and Italy, we had to fit a yellow cover over the headlights and that it reduced ones visibility considerably at night. I suppose that these days one would just use a yellow bulb? As for those black triangles of insulation tape. they look like the offending bits on some pornographic literature years ago! (over the naughty bits). Maybe that's where the idea originated ? A new source of supply for Morgan owners, but what does one ask for?

I am sure most know this but the yellow lights in France was a method of spotting Germans in WW2 I do not think they were ever a legal requirement.

But we've used the yellow lights up until the 80's. I guess we were not totally confident in our relationship with Germany and the efficiency of our army...
