I want to buy a plus 8 in the UK and found one in Stoke on Trent.
As i live in Belgium i need someone who could go there and check the car ....i will pay possible costs of course.
The car is sold by a private person.
I asked a Morgan dealer in the area but they do not even reply to my mails.

Someone on here who lives in the Stoke area should be able to put you in contact with an indie Morgan garage who would do this check , they should be along in a minute !

Interestingly when I was talking to our local dealer about Plus 8s ( the Rover V8 ones) he said he sells all the cars he gets into Germany. I wonder why German people would particularly want this model?

I live 30km from Stoke and will be happy to go and look over the car for you. I've owned at least one Plus Eight since 1980 and know my way around them having rebuilt them.

Feel free to PM me.

Regards, David.

There seem to be lots of Plus 8's in the group out there although there must be some 4/4 and Plus 4 I'm sure I just haven't noticed them.

Because they have a huge amount of character?

This. Plus the enormous advantage of the older cars is that emissions and modifications legislation is very rarely retrospective, so you can play about with them without worrying about falling foul of TUV, I would think.

Herman emailed this morning to say that he isn't going to buy my car afterall.

I didn't respond earlier as it didn't seem appropriate but due to losing garage space, something has to go and I've decided to sell the +8.

Certainly hasn't been an easy decision to choose between the +4 and the +8. I did advertise the +8 at the end of last year but was fairly unenthusiastic as I hoped I might find some way to keep it.

Anyway it will be sold and I shall put some details on here and on the Car and Classic website

Find an old lady with an empty garage. That's what we did in 1986 and it worked well. And it was only five doors away!
