I remember my Dad put a brick in the cistern to save water. This was up near Acharacle, where you had to go to a well for the water.

keeping up the TM tradition....
I am sure it was in Tenby that I saw a cistern in a restaurant/pub that was clear and had fish in it. An aquarium.
Very unique.

The green way ahead - I have had the need to use a facility such as this on an Organic Farm I was carrying out an Inspection on and I have to admit it was odourless.

I'm feeling rather proud of myself, I've just fixed the flush mechanism on our upstairs bathrooms. Its been broken since Christmas but I've fixed it! I told the better half I would fix it, so why she had to remind me every week to do it I've no idea.

Re. EU toilets, has anyone used an Austrian bog? Seriously weird! Its got a sort of trophy shelf arrangement where you can admire your own handywork before committing it to the deep as it were!

It's a bit strange I seem to be the only member of the house (only 2 live in it now ) that replaces the toilet role and erases skid marks on the china. This is a philosophical question?

As I live here yes, the viewing platform is not a great design. But neither is the UK flushing system. What is this pumping mechanism that fails to send enough water down to get rid of the waste? Everywhere else in the world you just press the button and presto, it's gone. Signed, frustrated flusher. pantsdown
