Hi All
Just a quick note to say hello.
Currently own a 58 frogeye sprite, but seriously considering selling it to fund a Morgan purchase.
Had test drive of a 2 litre +4 the other day, rather liked what I found!
Cheers

Hi Rylan A warm welcome from another Kent resident in Rainham - just a stones throw from you! The world just got smaller!! If you would like to chat with other Morgan owners in your area our local centre of the Morgan Sports Car Club (South Eastern - aka "Hopmog") hold two get togethers each month in Kent pubs. You would be very welcome to come along, just check out our website at www.hopmog.com - the scrolling message at the top of the home page shows the up-coming meets. By all means send me a private message beforehand and I'll make sure someone meets and greets you. Alternatively, if you would like a chat over a coffee locally just let me know. Good luck in your search.

Hi Alan
Nice to know there is someone nearby. I will certainly get myself down to the next meet which I think is on the 26th?
Would certainly be helpful to have a discussion with a current owner if that would still be OK with you?

Hi Rylan Not sure I'll be there on the 26th (Coastguard at St Margaret's Bay), but I can put you in contact with another of our committee members. If you PM me your telephone number I can ask them to give you a call to arrange. There are usually around 20 members who go, so plenty of opportunity to pick their brains!! The meet (noggin) starts around 6:30 - 7:00. If that's not convenient I'll be more than happy to meet you locally for a chat.

Hello Rylan and welcome. +4 Duratec is a good car. But I would test drive 4/4 1600, 4/4 1800 zetec, a +8 (various engine variants, and a Roadster, 3.0 or 3.7. 3.7 is a bit quicker. They all feel quite different but fundementily the same car. Best thing is to go to one or two Morgan dealers and drive them back to back, you will know which one suits you and the right car will find you. Good luck.

Hi Adrian
I test drove a 4/4 1600, I wasn't that impressed with it, am I right in thinking that the +4 has slightly more interior space due to the wider chassis? It certainly felt better to sit in (I think the duratec one I drove was a 4/4 75th special edition).
Thanks for the comments so far

All current trads have the same chassis and body tub. I think that happened in the early noughties.
