According to Linda at MS an individual car is about $1800 shipping plus $800 for pickup from the Newark NJ port. Four cars in a container runs about $1400 each, which includes the container delivery directly to MS. So the savings are $1k+. Find that hard to believe. Lemme know if it pans out.

I'm curious on the how the shipping arrangements will work out also. I believe I was told that it saved ~$1000 to ship it sea vs. air, which was a bit surprising as I would have thought air would be a great deal more expensive.

I just found out that my car (build 84148) went into production on Saturday March 11.
JFP - how do you know how many cars Linda has being built right now? Would definitely be nice to save $1,000+ on shipping even if it meant waiting another week or 2 for delivery.

I just found out that my car (build 84148) went into production on Saturday March 11.
JFP - how do you know how many cars Linda has being built right now? Would definitely be nice to save $1,000+ on shipping even if it meant waiting another week or 2 for delivery. Linda said that one car should be starting soon, assume that was yours and two more by the end of the month. That would be enough to fill a container.

At the end of last year I paid just under 5k to have it shipped by air into Chicago O'hare. The $1K savings would be realized by shipping a container with 3 other cars instead of an individual car by BOAT. Air shipment wasn't discussed.

I was given an estimate of $4,200 if she shopped alone in a container, and a savings of approx. $1,500 if I waited a few weeks to ship with another car in the container. I waited. I was charged $4,300. 😡
