I had a Romulan cloaking device fitted to mine. Now I can't find it...

I leave it totally open, with the tonneau on or hood up or the storm cover but nothing has walked.

We have a Librands foot locker & I have a eye bolt under the passenger seat floor board plus a stainless cable with eyelets so I can padlock cases at the back shelf or say my flying jacket.

Never bothered with any security and never had a problem in the 20 or so countries I've visited in mine.

Never had a problem. More than that in about 1996 my previous Plus 4 4 seater was parked in the office car park one afternoon in the middle of a row of the usual IT sales rep mobiles. A battered old Cortina drove into the car park and within a couple of minutes had taken the radios from the whole row except for one smile and made off. It wasn't locked and the radio was just as good as any of the others but hidden from view below the dash.

We learnt later that it was a gang that had been doing just that across the area so they were very fast at stripping radios out of cars.

Seems the same story all over, I do lock mine, not sure why and I do always put the hood up but that's more to protect the interior from 'stuff falling from the sky'. Never had an issue but as others have said i don't leave anything valuable in the car.

I rarely lock mine and then only if the hood is up and the storm cover over.

I talked to the team at Gott & Wynn about security and asked if they had ever had a claim for theft. The answer?
No.

There are so few Morgans and the market is so specialised that a stolen Morgan is to all purposes, unsaleable.
In those markets where stolen exotica goes no one would want a Morgan, and it would be so easy to trace. The Morgan Secret Police (a.k.a. TM and MSCC Members) would be on the lookout very quickly.

As has already been said, breaking for parts is pointless, every car is, ever so slightly, different. So the doors from my Plus 8 are unlikely to properly fit another one....!

If you try and insure the car using a mainstream "web" Insurer they will probably require a tracker. But the specialists, such as Gott & Wynn, don't, even on an £80k Plus 8.
All they asked of me is that it is parked overnight when at home in a secure garage.

security is something i did consider when i first got mine

I remember driving my newly acquired Morgan back from Milton Keynes to home in Lancashire, stopped at the services and locked both doors for a 10 minute stop ooo

I think that was the first and only time

I do put the tonneau cover across most times though when I'm leaving the car parked for a while and left overnight at a hotel or friends house, I always put the storm cover over even if rain isn't forecast

I think you are being a bit complacent in assuming that a stolen Morgan cant be sold. Lots of high value cars are simply put into containers and shipped out to countries like Russia where there is no legal system. If its not yet happened to a Morgan thats because the average scrote doesnt recognise the value.

I once left a bottle of wine on passenger seat for a couple of weeks, hood down. Parked it anywhere. Nobody stole it.....I reckon potential thieves think it's a set up!

I'm chuckling at the thought of some Russian mafia boss riding around Moscow collecting his drug money in a Stolen Morgan

High powered large Mercedes or a Morgan? thinking
