Hi Ragnar and Henry,

A good tip to request the guides from Allon White! They sent them rightaway and look really helpfull. Good service!

Henry, also thanks for your invitation at Berrybrook and explanation. I'm about the same size as you are, so a Plus4 should definitely fit. I do not live in the UK, so coming over is a bit of a stretch, but once I have found my car (or once the car has found me, as you lot seem to stress😊), a trip across the pond will definitely be made.

Best regards,
Thomas

I've just been for a test drive in a (almost new) Plus 4. My first time in a Morgan.
Now I really understand your enthusiasm for these cars.
Incredible fun to drive! Couldn't stop smiling (also due to sport exhaust laugh2 )
And once you're in, comfortable enough...

I'm afraid there's no way back now... drive

Caught hook, line and sinker!
Welcome to the sanest group on the planet.
Insane at first glance but the more you learn the more the sanity is confirmed.

Are you sure you've got that the right way around? grin2

Yes, you have been caught!!

A bit of additional information: Don't know how deep your budget is but the new Plus 8s, from 2012, have a wider cockpit, by about 15cm, and more adjustment on both seat and steering column. The Column is from BMW and adjusts both up and down and in and out!!

But a 4.8L BMW V8 may be a bit costly to tax in the Netherlands...

Go for it. You now know it makes no sense & that is why it is fun

It definately makes no sense at all. But where's the fun in sense wink
However, the line between expensive fun and 'silly money' is a bit vague here.
The dutch tax system has a 'new-car tax' based on emissions, which is added to the (normal) net price of the car.
On a 4/4 that is 6500 euro, on a plus 4 12500 and on a Roadster even more than 40.000 euro....
That puts a plus 4 in the same pricerange as a six-cylinder, well equipped 5-series or A6.
A step up to a roadster would be really expensive, so I didn't test that.

However, this makes a Plus4 look like a sensible choice.
And still brilliant fun to drive!

After 40 days driving a Miata in New Zealand, I took a run in the rain in My +8 Bitsa. What a joy!! The Bitsa has a 1998 chassis, roadster seats and a 1980 body tub. ie: Short Door. I am 5'8" tall and 165 lbs and the Short Door is hard to enter/exit. A Long Door is a must for your size.

Well done, you have now found the secret of motoring happiness. Enough power to have fun but not so much that you may attract the Police attention.
Plus 4's are addictive, I know I am on my third and I love it more every time I take it out.

Here for a good time not a long time!!
