They aren't as good as xenons distance wise I'd say but as bright. Certainly a huge improvement over the standard lights IMHO. So 8/10 on dip beam and a 10 on full beam.

Peter, good news... From Aero Racing?

I tried the JBL version when at Williams, but don't like the look. Yours I do think look appropriate.

No problem with the CANBUS: I have the LED halo headlamp units, to get the Bulb Failure warning out I had to fit resistive load units for the side lights anyway.

With the JBLs I needed the side light load unit but the headlights seem to pull enough current.

Yes the lights were done at the factory they had to re-wire and re-program, somethingy or other to get everything working. The bulb failure warning has been removed / disconnected.
I can always walk round the car to see if a bulbs out idea

I'm pretty certain that they are the same lights used in the APR4.

I've also been looking at doing this Peter and looked at the various options. I do like this one as it looks close to a normal headlight: Nolden Headlights Scroll down the page to see it on a Rover-engined Plus 8.

The only disadvantage is that it is expensive and I've put a stop on any more expenditure for now on my own Plus 8! frown

I agree, they look more in keeping...and the price, compared with the MMC/Aero Racing price, isn't bad. BUT it is unclear if they include a side light. I'll contact the UK supplier and ask....

I can swing that past Finance before the autumn....!!

If you scroll right down on the site Peter, you'll see that they do a sidelight version. These headlights do get good reviews in the US and amongst Land Rover owners.
