In my quest for more clearance (see my thread below about filters) I am presently doing some street testing with the phenolic spacers between the carbs and manifold removed. The engine runs well but I "think" that I detected a little boil off of fuel. After a reasonable run, perhaps twenty miles or a little more, and subsequent shut down for 15-20 minutes re-starting was not difficult, but it was sort of "flooded". Any experiences or recommendations out there as to this condition and/or the fabrication of a heat shield similar to MG and Austin Healey? Thanks, Jack
