Hi Morganeers around the world,

I am just thinking about replacing the standard air filter with a K&N. Best would be if this can happen without replacing the whole air filter box.
Unfortunately the morgan is not listed on the K&N Website. Has anyone already replaced the standard air filter with a K&N? Do you recommend it? And what is the exact type/Model or parts number of the K&N filter that fits into the air filter box of the 2015 4/4?

Any pieces of information regarding this will be highly appreciated.

Best regards from Germany

Ralf

P.S. Already made 700 km this month in my beautiful mog and enjoyed every Millimeter of it ;-)

The K and N filter doesnt give a power boost you'd notice BUT the engine did feel crisper somwhow so for the modest outlay i would say well worth getting.

if you also pop a set of iridum spark plugs in as well it would be good as these give a stronger spark and do actally make a noticable, albeit small, improvement to performance throughout the rev range. They last a long time too.
the iridum plugs are available from cain at wolf performance i think.

I do agree about the K&N.

I put one in my 4/4

Its impossible to measure the effect of these things without a dyno before and after.

BUT the engine sounded like it revved more freely and felt like it too!

The original is very heavy closely packed paper based type whereas the K&N just looks like it will allow much more air in through the air box.

Neil, that is interesting, please tell us the result when you are using the K&N filter with your Roadster. First I was hesitating to buy a K&N for my 4/4 because my experience when using one on my former Roadster was somehow disapointing. But with the 4/4 it feels to rev more easily, and does not lose low rev torque and with the Roadster my impression was that at lower revs the engine delivered a tad more torque and better throttle response when using the paper filter which I found more relaxing than having some more rev willingness with the K&N at higher revs regarding the 3.0 V6 engine.

For Weber 36/32 DGAV use K&N KN-56-1070 Custom Filter Assembly
Filter K&N E-3441
