Ordered mine this morning from Cain. Looking forward to fitting it. The instructions seem pretty straight forward 😊

I would be quite happy to purchase one if Cain would like to come to Perth to fit it (Sorry it would have to be at his cost)He can even have full use of the +4 for a week or so while he is here. [/quote]

Don't think I could swing that one...
"My Love Bunny I need to pop to Perth to fit some Rub plates... I could stay up their for the week and have a drive round...."

"Thats fine dear take the tent and camp or B&B".... crazy2

"Ok"

Some weeks Later...

"CAIN WHAT ARE ALL THESE CREDIT CARD BILLS FOR FLIGHTS AND HOTELS. IN bloody AUSTRALIA" scared

'Don't you remember I said I needed to fit some rub plats in Perth? well I did" hide

I can now sing soprano!!!!

There are already 2 rub plates in Tasmania!

Easy fit!

Thank you all

Cain very quickly delivered my rub plate. I'd put it to one side in the garage for a job to be done.

I popped up to Krazy Horse Saturday for a look around and a burger, rude not too whilst there, luckily I had gone as one of the sales guys noticed my offside exhaust hanging down, great service from Krazy Horse as they quickly got the car on the ramp removed the bracket and welded it up for me. they also recommended that I fit the plate sooner than later.

So after that little event I spent a pleasant hour or so on Sunday afternoon underneath my car fitting the rub plate. A bit awkward on my back but got there in the end smile Need to purchase a better trolley jack, mine doesn't have enough height, axle stands are ok. I won't tell what I had to do to get the jack higher..health and safety were absent nono

So thanks to Krazy Horse for the welding, very much appreciated and thanks to Cain for a great product and delivery process.

A very wise investment and a great looking bit of kit.

Good service from KH too.

Now our village busies have decided to fill the road with speed bumps it probably time to invest in a guard.

Peter how difficult was it to fit?

Pretty easy, its 4 brackets (8 bolts 13mm) Fit one bracket at a time. Use a torque wrench, mine were 26nm. Mark the existing bolts then loosen then re-tighten to get a reading (thats how I do it someone may well have a better way)

Clean the sump area first.

The two angled brackets go at the rear and the other two go at the front with the front angled edge to the front edge of the sump. (Thats how I interrupted Cains pictures)

If working on the floor offer the plate upto the sump on a trolley jack, then nut and bolt the plate to the brackets. Use an open ended 13mm spanner, a ring one gets stuck smile A bit fiddly but if you use something sticky to hold the nut in the ring end of the spanner its easier.

You'll need a 13mm socket, torque wrench, 13mm open ended spanner, two socket Allen keys, axle stands and a jack.

Thats how I fitted mine, hopefully it wont fall off laugh
