I carry the phone in my pocket Ken, and don't want any extra edges/thickness. Not that keen on things stuck to the dash either.

Guessing we all carry them in our pockets. The metal plate can be in between the phone and case and is super thin. My mount suction mounts, and when I need it I mount it to the body in between the leather side pieces on the passenger side. I like keeping this car bone stock, but yeah... To each his own. And it IS fun to create new toys!

Steel plate against a device needing to receive/transmit RF generally not a good idea. I know some have metal cases but by design

Phone works perfectly, though I have lost the ability to reproduce.

Whoever said a Morgan wasn't practical clearly didn't realise how easily a child seat fits in.

Thumper has now been fitted with G56 exhausts and a Spitfire air intake. Kwik Fit probably wouldn't have fitted the pipes much quicker. The delivery was at 1200 and the engine was running by 1330: to be fair, the upholstery had all been removed ready for the pipes to arrive. I had given the joint on the old pipes a squirt of WD40 the night before and they came off easily. In the meantime, whilst all the upholstery was removed, my CXO cleaned and balmed all the leather.

Thumper certainly made the front door rattle when it first kicked off! Seems to be getting smoother as it runs some more (do ECUs program themselves to changed conditions?). The improvement in performance is outstanding. The car was always pretty impressive, but it now really is on song but not as noisy as the KH stage 1 car I tested a year ago.





The size of the chambers and guard is obviously bigger, but I am already used to it. Slightly less room in the garage though, although they are a fraction shorter and easier to step around at the distal end.

I am sure you will be impressed with the performance and running improvements with the G56 kit. It does seem to get better as the ECU adjusts itself to the new set up. You should appreciate the quieter exhaust on a longer run, your ears will not bleed!

Welcome to the stage 1 club Tim. Fitted my MMC equivalent a few weeks back and now covered 400 miles with it.

Very loud stacatto crack when blipping throttle but fine when burbling along at constant speed. Not a massive perceived performance increase but huge improvement in engine tractability.

Now the adaptive ECU mapping has had time to adjust, it will pull smoothly from 2000 rpm in 4th now. Although I don't make a habit of this I do find I'm making fewer gear changes around town.
Idling is smoother and it seems mpg may have improved a tad as well. All in all
