Gauntlets for winter I believe since the wind will blow up your arms otherwise. Just bought these which will double for use on the bike.  with these to compliment when wearing wooly hat.

Leather gauntlets or gloves? Obviously need something, but would value any opinions. Now collecting cat on Saturday: forecast for Friday very wet (Saturday marginally better).
Tim I have gauntlets for winter / wet weather and hole back driving gloves for summer when it can get too hot..... Good luck on Saturday - enjoy

'Gratz! The car looks lovely, green was a close second for me, I especially like the green mohair tonneau. Well I've brought the little beast home! I deferred from doing it yesterday, because the weather forecast was so bad. Not much better today coming down the A14 to the A1, with a good deal of rain. Dry once we got home, of course. Amazing vehicle to drive at speed: must remember ear plugs next time.

Tim Same happened to me when I collected my M3W. Stopped for food in sunshine & shortly after resuming drive 70 miles to go light rain started & got worse. I was going via Glenshee, great road wet or dry but would have been nice to stay dry. The pub I stopped at has since burnt down, don't think it was my fault. Tim

Having got home I checked that the car fits the garage: it does, just, with close to an interference fit. Then went into Westminster in the early evening to visit my wife who had a partial knee replacement op that morning. The poor posture is that of someone who has just extricated themselves from an M3W.  Picked up my Designer son from Norf London on the way in and dropped him back in the evening. My RAF son had lent me a very warm service hat and a newly fitted Fairbourne windscreen made a big difference to travelling at speed. Which these little cars do with great ease! 77 mph on the motorway was clearly not the maximum. I think the windscreen needs a stainless steel strip at the bottom to finish it better. A rearview mirror on the centre pillar would certainly be a good idea. Travelling home, up through Green Lanes (a misleadingly named long food/resturant drag in NL) I was amazed how popular the car was with pizza scooter delivery drivers. Maybe with a luggage rack on the back this could be a new role!  The melodic chortle of the engine would certainly make 'Thumper' a good name for these cars (but maybe Richard is going to use that name for his). I finally got home truly cream crackered! Tim

Lovely car Tim, the pictures highlight your pride of new ownership. Hope to be joining in that in a weeks time My Old Thumper avatar, a take off of Ringwood breweries Old Thumper bottle label (they have now changed it in disgust  ) is in tribute to the 1936 Lister JP2M diesel twin powering my narrowboat, and hand painted on the cabin sides. By comparison the X-wedge is a very high speed engine.
