'Most UK car manufacturers went fully over to metric fitting in the 70s . . .'
I would have to disagree respectively about this. In my experience working on my cars and those of others (81 4/4 SAE, 80, 85, 86, 89, 90 Plus 8s all SAE??) Only metric is occasional missmatched fitting.
Cheers,
Mark

British Leyland stuff stayed mostly AF until the end. Apart from the Honda venture etc.

Ok so since BL died around 2005. Would this then be a good cut off for SAE/AF? Or given Morgans reluctance to change sometime later?? Do those with later Morgans support this??
Cheers,
Mark

With the M3W it's a different story as the engine is American hence AF and the body and everything else is metric.
It makes for an interesting tool-roll.
