Hi all,
I'm finding the black leather interior very easy to mark/scuff. The slightest catch of a nail et al leaves its mark.
Assuming this is the norm, what do you guys do to repair or do you just accept such as "patina"?
Leather dye or protection cream doesn't seem to disguise.

I've used Gliptone's leather conditioner and their scuff master black dye to great effect
Some bad scuffs on the seats when I first bought my Morgan are completely now indiscernible

I used Gliptone on my 4/4 Light Tan leather.
I sent off a small swatch - back came their Cover.
Brilliant - made such a good job of covering tiny blemishes etc.

I've tried the Gliptone scuff master stuff (it's not a direct colour match, one of there previous Morgan blacks from a 1984 sample) and it's a darker mat black. I'd have to colour a whole panel or item really.
However, in any event it won't remove or repair any damage to the surface.

However, in any event it won't remove or repair any damage to the surface. When I ordered the black Scuffmaster, it came with a little bottle of white to mix a black to match Easy cheap way with black. Supermarket dab on shoeshine dye works wonders.
.+8 Now gone for a 1800 4/4. Duratec in bright yellow.

Tonight I used tan shoe polish to repair a scuff on my 4/4 and it worked wonders it has repaired the scuff and returned the colour to the point that it can not be seen.
I also tried the same on a scuff to the drivers seat and the result was the same.
Once the colour had been returned I buffed it with a soft cloth and removed any remaining polish..
I'm very happy with the results and a very cheap fix.

Any thoughts on where to cut my leather swatch?
There doesn't seem to be much spare leather anywhere, except under the seat back.
Gliptone would like an 8cm x 5cm minimum smaple size - I am not sure I have that to spare...

Gliptone would like an 8cm x 5cm minimum smaple size - I am not sure I have that to spare... I sent a square 1"x1" and the match was spot on. The stuff they send seems to penetrate the leather and isn't just a surface coating so it is quite durable. I was very pleased with the result. They may already have the colour you need on file.
