I must be doing something differently, mine has lasted over 4000 miles and a whole year and is still going strong.

i guess it depend also on how long you use the bike , it's not the 3.000 0r 10.000m it's how long and at what speed you use it every time : if you made one time 1.500M with no stop is not the same if you made for 15 days 100 M/ days  I hope i am clear
