I installed the Australian Reversing Lamp today. Took about 2 hours.

Interested to hear more - pictures maybe.

Did you fit to replace stock fog light?
Did you employ existing reversing light wiring?
If yes to above, do you have an intention for now redundant fog light switch?
Which white reversing light did you use/source?

Yes i fit it in the stock fog lamp spot, i used the existing fog lamp wireing for the sake of simplicity. I used the actual morgan part, the mounting and the wires hook right up. the price i got from the dealer was less than what i found it for online. Photos to follow!

That's interesting. I would have expected if you used the MMC Australian spec. reversing light it would be wired with the same 4 way plug but with the two light cable connections picking up on the gearbox switched reversing light connections on the matching socket.

To better explain both the pair of wires for fog lamp and the reversing light are present and live on the wiring loom socket common to all variants. It's the matching plug on the LED light (whether it be fog or reversing) that determines which pair it hooks up to.

It comes without a plug, just two wires, so I wired it to the same 2 wires.

Thanks for explanation. Surprised the plug appears to be added during build. Sounds like it would have been no more effort to wire to the dedicated cables though, as either way you would need to cut and remake wires to plug or socket. Further detail here

Pehaps if i had moved my 2 wires to the other 2 locations in the 4 contact plug, then it would work off of the trasmission switch? Im not currently curious enough to take out the 10 wood screws to find out.
