Does anyone happen to know the thread and size of the bolt that holds the bumper irons to the arm that supports them from the front cross frame please?

Naah! Don't do this job the easy way. Remember this is a Morgan.

Too true Button
I made a pair of bolts for my 4/4 when fitting them I noticed that they made the large quantity of spring washers used by the factory to space the bumper iron out look untidy.
So I made a pair of stainless spacers, in doing so I managed run out of tips for my parting off tool.
Down to the local engineering merchants, where they had an ex demo lathe on discount. Hmm I wonder...
Lathe bought and delivered, during delivery and installation, my father crushes his foot, subsequently 4 months in hospital and he now has three less toes than the good Lord originally gave him on his left foot.
Somehow I think it would have been easier to buy two new bolts!

Arwyn I'm sorry for your father and hope he'll cope well with the situation but I could not resist laughing out loud reading your last line. 😂😂

I put threaded bar in on my 2011 car, it was metric thread, cant remember the size, i then used dome headed stainless nuts, much more elegant, i fitted dome head nut covers as well although the polished s/s dome head looks nice.
