My "bugeye" and three others cleared US Customs yesterday. Hopefully, I'll take delivery next week and will report back on the cosmetic surgery. Very exciting! Let me know how it goes.

Because the answer to your original question is no. That would make for a short and boring discussion. To our knowledge, in the tiny subset of 3 wheeler owners that are represented on this forum,(91 cars in the registry) no. The bracket is unsupported and untriangulated from mounting point to mounting point,with 5 bends, all which would weaken it as a chassis member, and with 2 very slender straps running down.
Not designed as a chassis brace at all, just a place to hang a couple lights.

You don't suppose this is the factory "solution" to cracked frames? No that solution was fixed with a brace between the v-twin and the cowl. This is a stupid "solution" to a stupid rule that the US has for distance between motorcycle headlights.

Not designed as a chassis brace at all, just a place to hang a couple lights. Yeah, that I don't doubt. Not saying that was even their intention. Even in that configuration though with the tabs, would it not be better than nothing at all? My consideration is for removing it along with changing the lights back as well when I get mine or just moving the lights and leaving the bracket.

The bracket is useless fir anything other than hanging sonething on it. New frames aren't cracking either.

I eagerly await some retrofit updates. I still haven't ordered my US M3W, and the new headlight configuration required for the US market is too hideous to remain. I'm simply hoping the dealer will do it before I pick up my car. Again, I am very demanding of a car that I probably won't order for another two years. It is not a matter of if, but when.
