I have a 2012--trouble free to date but change fluids often.
Those new headlights are ugly and I would also worry about that wheel out near the center line.
What about a cooling issue as obstruct the two heads?

with the lights being egg shaped, I cant imagine it would deflect enough air away from the engine to ever be problematic. Even if this was somehow an issue, minor ducting could fix that with ease.

My "bugeye" being unloaded at the dealer earlier today:   Delivery might be a week from now. Fingers crossed!

I know, it can't stay a bugeye because the view on the motor is obstructed. But it looks so cute!

The new placement of the headlights are butt ugly, but I'm more concerned with the lose of air flow into both heads. Surely, the motor will be more prone to over heating. This isn't rocket science guys. Less air flow = less cooling = hotter running motor = premature motor failer.
The factory must have forgotten they are using a air cooled motor here.

Your wondering about engineering mistakes? Unfortunately we as Beta testers have been correcting Malvers's engineering mistakes since 2012 and we're not finished yet. Just when you might think they've got it right(the 2016's, 17's) they do it again with the headlights. Yes I know, "We didn't have a choice, its the US law etc ?? This "solution" is downright scary.
