But not on my 2016 car wink. They just slid off after undoing clamps and supports, which did surprise me as was expecting a fight.

I gave my 2012 (but new chassis in 2014) car a good jollop of WD40 on the joint the night before and the pipe joint came apart easily.

+1 On using penetrating oil on the joint for a day or two before removal. I was dreading taking mine apart but the joints just slipped apart no problem once the clamps were loosened.
