We are hoping to have about 15 - 20 UK 3 Wheelers at the college in the morning with more expected from the continent.

What a fantastic pilgrimage Chris - you should all be congratulated. I know via social media several of the European partakers and this is a wonderful event bringing so many countries together .

With just a couple of weeks to go – here’s a few more bits of info:

Unfortunately I misunderstood the requirements for the Saturday night dinner it turns out that the hotel wanted us to pre choose a fixed menu with only 1 option for each course. We’ve therefore switched this from the separate dining room to the restaurant where we will be able to choose from whichever menu we like. They have a range of menus from €26.50 - €46.50 plus A La Carte.

By the way, don’t forget to fill up with petrol on Saturday if you need to as there may not be any en-route.

Ian, Marie and Gerald will have set up a MTWC stand at the college and we are then all booked in for the lunch at 12:00.

On Friday, by my reckoning, we have 9 cars booked onto the Eurotunnel, 2 on the 10:20 (Dab of Oppo & Paul R) and 7 on the 10:36 (Chris99, MarkH, TimW, RogG, RicHardy, Nippymog, and Bob Hine).

I suggest we all meet up at the Total petrol station at the Calais terminal (keep left as you come off the train and it’s on the slip road). We can then convoy to St Omer centre (Place de Marechal Foch) for lunch then onto the hotel. Suggested route: https://goo.gl/maps/bbKjAaBpJYR2 and again email/PM me for TomTom or Garmin files.

Place de Marechal Foch would also be a good place for those on the ferries to meet as I think we are all aiming to arrive at a similar time. There is a large carpark and there are a number of café / brasseries that should be open.

MOT carried out and all passed after some minor lamp beam adjustments.

Tricky little set up that - It needed both of us to achieve the 2" if adjustment required. Simply loosen the bottom nut then loosen the grub screw and adjust away.

Any one got a part number and supplier for wheel bearings?

We now have a timetable for the official event:

9.00 Gates open

10.00 Official opening with the commemoration of a plaque dedicated to Albert Ball

10.30 bagpipe players will play about 20 minutes

11.00 a short speech of the head supervisor and there will be the pigeons (Doves?) flight

11.30 a second play of bagpipes

12.00 closing of the exhibition

12.00 to 13.30 lunch

For those who wish to go to the cemetery there will be a service of remembrance by a reverend at 14:00 with laying of wreaths by the relatives and officials followed by a short speech by officials of Nottingham.

So, with our plan for the main group to leave the hotel at 09:00, the quick route to the crash site should get us there for 10:15 to meet up with Ian, Marie and Gerald.

If we lay our wreath at 10:30 it's then only 5 mins to the school so we should be OK to arrive at 10:50 - as we wouldn't want to interrupt the bagpipes - would we

My travel plans are a bit of a mess but I will show up sometime on Friday night very late, am staying in St Omer, am around on Saturday but will need to leave by midday on Sunday at the very latest. It's hard for me to keep track of what's happening, despite the excellent organisation from you chaps, so if you don't mind I'll just turn up and tag along. I will get some photography and will ensure the event ends up in print.
