It was terrifying and I would do it again in a heartbeat!! Drive it!

Drive it home! Do your own PDI before starting off and have a contingency / breakdown recovery plan. Choose a nice route. Stop for a break halfway to readjust clothing, ear plugs, helmet vs hat /goggles, sun cream, and any necessary driver servicing. When home, enjoy thinking what you would fix or change, and where you will drive next...

For helmets just use what you have already. See the helmet thread for what others use. ...

Local dealership PDI would be essential for me - having had four MOG's.

Always do a walk around before setting off - that way you'll see if something's about to come detached before it does.

Morgan of Morgantown West Virginia delivered mine on a chilly February day in an enclosed trailer. Brett the sales rep and his lovely wife then stayed for well over an hour going over the M3W! That was over a three hour delivery for them and he told me they have even delivered further. Your dealer should deliver it's not that far.

I had just bought a really nice lightweight aluminum trailer to go get it but Brett said no need we deliver! I needed a small trailer for my four wheeler, mower and to haul things around the house and shop anyway. Now I have a nice recovery trailer.

Now buy a set of Magnaflow Mufflers (see my post on this site) and let that engine breath better, run a lot cooler and just sound awesome!

Drive it. When you're on the highway part, vary between a little under the limit to ten over to vary the RPM, as well as changing up between 4th and 5th. That way your running ( not breaking) her in correctly. Do NOT lug her. That motor hates lugging. Nothing under 2,800 once you're rolling. 3,000-4,200 ish on this run. Like is said use the gearbox and right pedal to modulate in that range.

I have just been helmet shopping because my M3W should be here in a few weeks. I'm going with that Bell Pitt Boss helmet. It has an integrated pull down visor that I can use instead of goggles if I want. I'm also getting the additional clear visor and will swap it out with the tinted sun visor for an additional $10. The Pitt Boss is considered a half helmet but is DOT approved and comes with a zip off neck curtain for colder weather driving. It also has a dial system in the back to tighten it. So I can get a second helmet and use it for multiple people in case they have different head sizes. I tried on a lot of different helmets and this one is the most comfortable. And because it's a half helmet, it doesn't cut off my peripheral vision.

I have to agree there, my dealer had a few minor but important adjustments. Nothing major but i would definitely not drive it home without the dealer giving it the once over.
As far as helmets I like my "Sir Stirling Moss Style" Helmet.
I think there is nothing better to go with the car. Just this man's opinion!
