Leaf springs now liberally coated with chain wax. Seemed fine after a boat around the local lanes, so fingers crossed the silence remains....... Thanks for the advice

Squeaky rear. I have that under very late braking.

Have a look and see if your door is rubbing. This can be the cause of a very annoying squeak and can be eliminated by moving the catch on the frame out a bit.

Squeaky rear. I have that under very late braking. My version of that was a squeal.....it woke up the driver of the van that pulled out in front of me.

Squeaky rear has returned  Seems fine after standing but after a good few miles it's back, then goes again. Have to confess I didn't check and tighten any bolts last time.....forgot  I'll have to have another poke around when I can be bothered. I think I'm beginning the understand Mog ownership.....now where's that MX5 brouchure?
