2211,
Two things: I would drive it home, but I would map out a non-freeway route. Both for safety/comfort as well as enjoyment. This is a more enjoyable vehicle on 2-4 lane roads as opposed to freeways, and you want to break it in correctly anyway. Plus, it will take longer to get home, and I always hate turning this vehicle off, wishing the trip had been longer.
Second, are you picking it up at the airport without dealer prep? That I would not do. I would have the dealer do the whole checklist, check belt tension, do a test drive etc before taking ownership.
Take a set of jumper cables (I had an electrical gremlin sideline me on my trip home from purchase) and a AAA card if you're a member. Make sure your insurer writes a policy for this unusual vehicle. And be prepared for one of the best drives of your life.

You're not buying through a dealer?

Yes, bought thru a dealer. He had a Morgan that he ordered and was done in GB ready to ship. He's on the east coast/ I'm on the west. He had the factory do the PPD. and I'm shipping direct. Spoke with the dealer closest to me. Told me he would touch the car. ?? Not sure whats going down with the dealer network. But I can tell there is some issues. Too far down the rabbit hole to turn back . I'll just have to figurer it out.

You would think any dealer would honor the factory warranty. And want your future service work.

Isn't any dealer obliged to honour the warranty & considering the cost of servicing you would think the work would be welcome from any source.

Sorry I'm late to this party but, if you don't have a AAA RV plus membership get one. It'll tow you two times a year for 200 miles a shot.
